For PAP everything is politics. Fairness comes into play only it it gives the PAP a political advantage / benefit. It will "fix" any dissenters.

It's a paradox. But it may indicate more are finally opening up their mindset. There was a theoretical saying that we are here to live and learn, which led us to wonder the reasons why we are here and the purpose of life.
Hence, for a classical example, ask a lawyer who is handling divorce cases. He would tell you that there are so much HATE between both parties. Remember, we were born pure and innocent. But in the growing up stage, some were instigated by lies.

Why does DR Ang still yearn to come back after being kept away for so many years. Because she is a singaporean - a true one in this case and she misses her home. Simple as that. For the hundred of thousands of new citizens, I have much doubt they will miss anything if something better comes along. That is why I am pretty much against this mass intake of new citizens and PR as I am certain it will break the nation when crunch time comes.

It is a law of nature to love ease and power and enormous wealth that comes with ruling a country. Especially a country like Singapore where the indigenes come from the most adventurous stock of peoples at the turn of the 19th century.Once you secure that control over such a vigorous nation, not only you but all your relatives and friends can be happy for at least two generations. If you are careful.
The PAP has been more than careful, they have been paranoid, not just careful. That is why they hate political opponents the most out of a range of hated categories of men.
To safeguard their continued hegemony, they have turned Singapore into a Police State, albeit with parliamentary deomocracy on the face facing the Internationalcommunity.
The PAP will be a tough nut to crack. They don't commit genocide on Singaporeans. They profess to love babies instead and with that they are intent to ruin the Singaporean national identity, not to mention the livelihoods of the average citizen.

I pose this simpe question: If the PAP is winning fthe public debate on its poilcies right now, why would it want to even think of a "code of coduct" for the media, as if there are no laws and restrictions already in force? Obviously it is not, that's why it is desperate to control the debate.

Singapore Law will encourage more under-aged girl into Prostitution if no action is taken against the underage girl. These under-age girl found out that when matter being published that they will be protected instead being charged. We hope that Ministry of Social Development should seriously look in the matter and make sure all parties involved should be responsible, this is to sure that future girl prositute feel that they will be prosecuted if they will under age.

I really think that society is holding the wrong end of the stick. The underaged girl who conduct such a havoc with over 40 men in such a short time is no innocent child.She may be young in age, but she has the vice grip of a Circe.
The Law should put penalties on this kid prostitute and her pimp. The Pimp should be the focus of attention as he is the fulcrum on which the whole business turns.

I am amazed that Dr. Ang still wants to come back to Singapore. Homesickness is a very interesting phenomenon isn't it? And yet, if Francis Khoo had been able to come back to Singapore before his death, he would be shocked at what Changi Beach look like today.
At the rate of construction, destruction and re-construction that is going on, Singapore is nothing like the island, even say, just five years ago. And at the rate of immigration that is going on, it is a wonder to me that one can stil feel a sense of home with any certainty.
This island is one of the most transient community in existence. Nothing seems to be grounded and people are always coming and going. And we wonder why everyone is so stressed or why the desire for children dwindles by the day.
Maybe the Singapore that is in the mind some 35 years ago is more beautiful than the reality today.
That said, one has to wonder at the make of a person so set on exacting such lasting pain by denying another the right to return, particularly when her crime seems to be one of association.
