However, as shown by this job ad, this is not true. This incident is more appalling than the incidents of unfair employment practices of private companies because Keppel is owned partially by the government. It has proven that the government puts its own needs to make profits above Singaporeans livelihood. Are our local degrees from NUS, NTU, SMU etc inferior to Malaysia’s degrees? It shouldn’t be the case since our newspapers are always quick to feature our universities in Top 10/ Top 50 listings of good universities around the world.

This incident is despicable and I hope that Temasek Review would put this report at its ad space to shame Keppel publicly and to alert people that the government has become a business entity instead. Do alert other foreign news agencies like CNN, Bloomberg etc to this as well.

I may just be a nobody, but I will do my part and exercise my vote wisely during GE and I implore fellow readers to do the same.

Please quantify “good foreigners” – is it cheaper, aplenty? so are you stating a fact that Singaporeans are not better because we are less cheap?

“They will be even cheaper” – will the PAP import other sources of foreigners from Africa, Eastern block countries to benchmark the current intake from China & India to depress the wages so businesses can keep going?

You forgetten that the PAP provide the means for cheaper labour, a vicious cycle. You must be a moroon to believe this will end someday and by ignoring to compare the skill sets, knowledge and education that Singaporeans are proud of. So you state that this means is justifiable to take away singaporean ricebowls to make companies staying afloat while keep on harping on hiring “good foreigners”.

Let’s not wait further to U.S, Europe collapse to perpetuate your fear mongering, at present moment, your good neighbours or friends have been out for jobs for months or years and have mouths to feed. All thanks to the liberal foreign import policy and your warp logic.

You will find to your dismay that the Town Council CEO does not answer or report to anyone. He is the BOSS! He can do whatever he wants even investment millions of the “sinking funds” in his control.

Spread the story and broadcast on all available internet portals. Bring down the hatchet carriers and make the Town Council CEO answerable for all his actions. For the two Town Councils that have annouced raising the Service and conservancy charges, make all the noise and file complaints for the slightest mistake.
