In an interview with Lianhe Wanbao, the wife of PBM Jack Neo Irene Kng who had been maintaining a dignified silence all along in the face of a series of stunning revelation of the sexual exploits of her husband, said she still loves Jack.
When asked by the reporter on how she is feeling now, she replied:
“We are very good, really very good. Of course I must watch over my hubby. He is like my ‘baby’ now. I will ’sayang’ him everyday,” she giggled.
She added that she is not angry with Jack and that this is a learning experience for him.
Throughout the interview, Irene did not show any signs of bitterness or anger towards Jack’s mistresses. She claimed that she is bothered by what they told the media and is still working from morning till night as per normal.
Irene also revealed that she spoke to Foreign Minister George Yeo over the phone who had earlier urged Singaporeans to rally around Jack and his family.
She thanked Singaporeans for their kind support and she believed that the saga will be over soon.
One of PBM Jack Neo’s mistresses Wendy Chong had tried to confront Irene last Saturday at their home in Pasir Ris and was shocked by her calm demeanour.
Irene had already known about Jack’s many flings and affairs and chose to “open one eye and close one eye” at them.
Jack is indeed fortunate to have such a loving and understanding wife which makes one wonder why he strayed in the first place.

A couple of years ago, there was a Malay colleague of mine who behaved as cool as Irene. In fact, she was the one who initiated her husband’s 2nd & 3rd marriage when she found out about his affairs. I concur with your sentiments and I think likewise. I’d like to add that she may be acting the way she does because of the media and/or maybe she doesn’t know any better. Its really the upbringing. Do remember that the mentality of the past is that if the husband takes care of the material needs of the family, the wife should be tolerant of the husband’s imperfections as it maintains the ‘peace’ in the family.

I beg to differ. The wife knew about the affair years ago and maybe his “many” other affairs. She will be angry and sad if PBM Jack Neo and Wendy Neo is exposed to her the first time (she just get to know about it). But it had happened many times before and every time Irene Kng is hurt and hurt again.
However, every time she forgives him because she loves him but this PBM Jack Neo never learn his lesson after being caught with his pants down. He continues preying on young girls and continues to hurt Irene Kng. The outcome of it is that Irene Kng will have to develop herself to be indifferent about his affairs to protect herself to be hurt again. (That is why she is so calm and cool about his affair – not in denial mode but acceptance mode already.)
It is a sad case for her and her family. AWARE should take up with this issue.

I can only come to this conclusion.
