Singaporeans cuffed, shackled and chained for distributing flyers while PRCs were allowed to create public nuisance freely
Written by Our Correspondent
Two Singaporeans were in the courtroom yesterday clothed in orange overalls labelled “Cluster B”, cuffed, shackled and chained as they were brought back to court in the middle of their sentence to answer yet more charges for illegal assembly.
Dr Chee Soon Juan and Mr Gandhi Ambalam are serving a one-week prison sentence after they were convicted for illegal assembly without a permit for distributing flyers critical of the PAP in 2006.
In his verdict, District Judge Ch’ng Lye Beng said he agreed with the Prosecution that “distributing flyers in a group of 5 or more persons criticizing the PAP government’s policies is an offence.”
Dr Chee and his colleagues from the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) had “distributed flyers at the Raffles City Shopping Centre on 10 September 2006 questioning the ministers’ salaries as well as the denial of political rights to Singaporeans,” according to the SDP’s website.
Both defendants were still cuffed, shackled and chained when they entered the dock until District Judge Chia Wee Kiat order the cuffs to be removed though their ankles remained shackled and fastened to the bench like some hardcore criminals.
Dr Chee’s sister Ms Chee Siok Chin then requested the judge to order the shackles on their feet removed as “these men posed absolutely no security threat whatsoever” after which judge directed Mr. Gandhi and Dr. Chee to be placed in another dock that had bars all around it, and the restraints to be removed.
The humiliating treatment dished out to Dr Chee and Mr Ambalam is in stark contrast to that received by a PRC family who “hijacked” a SBS Transit bus two days ago by refusing to leave it.
They had boarded the bus without wheelchair accessibility at Mandai and was told by the bus captain that they were not allowed to bring the wheelchair up the bus due to safety reasons. However, they insisted on doing so and sat on the bus for 6 hours, making a din in it.
Though the police was called to the scene, they did not arrest them on the spot as they should have done so under the new Public Orders Act.
The police officers were later seen “escorting” them down the bus with one of them carrying their wheelchair to a Maxi-cab paid for by SBS to send them home.
It is irony that legitimate political activities are being criminalized in Singapore as “illegal assembly” while foreigners who were obviously causing public nuisance and disorder were let off the hook just like that.

TR,
You stated above, “”Singaporeans cuffed, shackled and chained for distributing flyers while PRCs allowed to create public nuisance freely.”"”
WHY? The reason is very simple? BECAUSE S’POREANS HAVE BECOME SHEEP AND COW (implied from old fart saying s’poreans have spur in the hide) after decades of suppression by the ruling party they have voted and as a result do not even know how stand up for their rights like most human being.
Just that simple. Just imagine a foreign family of elderly women (one is 90 years old) also dare to go all the way to stand up for their rights by holding the argument with poodle and national bus company for hours. But sheepish Singaporeans just know how to talk thru’ their arses behind the screen.
Linking the 2 issue make TR really pro SPD lol
it’s true. there is a great divide of discrimination between singaporeans and others (ie PRs and foreigners).
I’ve seen with my own eyes how a PR, convicted of grievous assault with a dangerous weapon, had no ankle shackles when appearing in HIGH COURT.
True sons of Singaporeans are treated cruelly while sons of foreign land are given TLC.
shame shame shame
this is like the wat.. 3rd article on the “singaporeans get arrested and PRCs don’t” issue.
Linking these 2 issues is stretching it. TR “correspondent”, IF you make a nuisance like the PRCs on the SBS bus and you get arrested, we’ll believe you.
i’m sure if the PRCs were carrying “fa lun gong” banners and distributing fa lun gong flyers, they’d be arrested too.
laughable content. next time TR can try linking high HDB prices to the PRCs who refuse to leave the bus.
I cannot understand why some individuals insist that a nuisance behaviour is “standing up for their rights.”
Please examine their behaviour:
Family won’t pay for cab even when grandma’s exhausted (The New Paper 19 Jan 2010 http://www.tnp.sg/news/story/0,4136,227465,00.html?)
Excerpt: “The driver said he tried to explain to the group that wheelchairs were not allowed on his bus, but they still tapped their ez-link cards on the card reader and refused to budge… The situation was eventually resolved when SBS Transit arranged for a maxi cab to take the group home without charge.”
What “rights?” Is it the “right” to make a din for SIX hours so that they can get a free ride home?
Also, according to the print edition, the granny and her daughter are both Singaporeans.
@Newtype, what’s it so funny, pls tell…lol…lol..lol
And what’s wrong with Pro SDP(not SPD)? I come to this site becos its anti-PAP? So ….lol…lol( I have to lol so that we are on the same wavelenght..lol)
Just like, the Shitty Times, they are Pro PAP, and you can always read your daily dose of good-stuff there….lol
(don’t even know why all the lol, sorry I must be affected by …..)
@Newtype,
Your pro SPD – does it mean pro Singapore People for Dictatorship
Sad to say, TR has reached another new low with this article.
Goondoo wonders, how low can TR goes?
TR please show impartiality or pro political party or you may lose credibility as non-partisan blog.
The Public Order Act was never meant for foreigners. The POA is intended to restrain Singaporeans and protect the PAP’s hegemony. This coming election please vote with your conscience.
Republican Scott Brown just won Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat in Massachusetts, a seat the Democrats and the Kennedys held for 50 years! Lets do this to the PAP and the Lee family! The Lee family have taken us for granted, stepped on our rights, screwed us to the hilt! Singaporeans have awaken. Come the next election, lets all kick them down, vote in each and every opposition to teach them Lees a lesson. My vote will go to any opposition in my ward, I guarantee that. Go ahead, Lee and their partners in crime, continue to make my day!!!!!
The difference between the two groups is that one group poses a threat to the PAP and the other group does not.
@newtype its called compare and contrast.
the treatment of a politic prisoner who did not obstruct public order vs the treatment of obvious nonsensical individuals who caused obstruction to public order really makes people wonder about the double standard regarding singapore law.
Hi PeterL,
TR is never a non-partisan blog. We are PRO-SINGAPOREANS and if this means taking a partisan stance against the ruling party, so be it. We are a VOICE for VOICELESS Singaporeans who will never be heard in the mainstream media.
The gist of this article is to highlight the differential treatment received by Singaporeans participating in legitimate political activities which did not endanger or hinder the public in any way and foreigners who created public nuisance and allowed to get away with it.
It just happens that they are SDP members. Had they been PAP, WP, or SDA members, the article will remain the same.
We are speaking up for Dr Chee and Mr Ambalam as SINGAPOREANS for SINGAPOREANS, not because we are pro-SDP.
Dr Chee served two and a half years of National Service and years of reservist like many of us. Shouldn’t he deserve a bit more respect than these foreigners who come here to trample on our laws like a piece of toilet paper?
Hope that clarifies.
Newtype and Goondoo, you have reached a new low with your stupid comments. How low can you go? Low enough to kiss your favorite PAP minister’s ass?
re – Lim Leng Hiong on Wed, 20th Jan 2010 10:58 am
You sated, “”"”Also, according to the print edition, the granny and her daughter are both Singaporeans.”"”"
You see how great is the PRC woman. She dared to stand up for an old woman who is a S’porean all the way. You think you sheepish and cow-minded Singaporeans dare, even the old woman is a S’porean.
You also ask people to examine their behaviour: “”"Family won’t pay for cab even when grandma’s exhausted (The New Paper 19 Jan 2010″”"”
Bud didn’t you read the other side of the storey in the NP or choose not to read, — “”"Madam Lin claimed the driver noticed the folded wheelchair they were carrying only after they had paid their fares.””””
You accept people’s money and then reject people. Or you want people’s money, but don’t want to do the job. And now you want people to take a cap and pay for themselves. Is this not robbery.
Very much sounds like our old fart and Georgie. The former accept $3m salary but just want to be forecaster. The latter also accept few millions salary, but did not even bother to help a poor girl who got molested.
The bus driver must be kay si or pretending. Think that a family of elderly women is easy to be bullied. Typical sheepish mentality of the Singaporeans.
TR admin,
You shd tell the sheepish, cow-minded and dumbass S’poreans that it does not matter whether your blog is a non-partisan or pro-whatever. The fact is that each of every S’poreans shd know how to discern the news, information and data they have read, hear or see individually to form their owned opinion in order to stand up for themselves.
That the 154th rated media we have, I will never read them or trust them.
“Linking the 2 issue make TR really pro SPD lol”
huh ??? so a doctor operating on an injured criminal makes him pro-criminal.
When a group of people create a nuisance on a bus for SIX hours, fighting not for “rights” but for their selfish wants, someone can actually put the blame on the bus driver!
Yes – the bus driver!
Now I’ve heard everything.
There is need to show more balance and civility. Lets show more respect and have more room for political dissenters. This treatment is doing no good to the governing party.
HAHa paiseh la, typo it SDP.
my point has noting to do with PAP. since i never mention they are pro pap either
i am just saying, TR is not PRO-Opposition but rather PRO-SDP and sometimes PRO-RP only.
TR, your reporting is really getting more and more off…linking 2 different incidents of different nature, and trying to make irrelevant comparison is so highly mischievious and manipulative. You must be thinking that everyone here is so anti-PAP that they have lost their senses and will jump at any provocation from your articles, right?
But of course, we know TR care more abbout having more hits than having credibility…
Admin-
Point taken.I feel strongly on your stand at Pro Singaporean and Singapore for Singaporeans. For all their recent follies there are credible ones in the ruling party and credit should be given when due, only than I believe TR will attract more comments from readers of substance not that TR currently lack any.
anyway, i leave you all to enjoy your mass orgy here. I am leaving BYEeee

Newtype. Temasek Review is under Temasek Holdings la! how can it be pro-sdp or pro-rp? TR speaks for the people.
This is a politically motivated case, so the humiliating treatment can safely be construed as ‘pre-arranged’ with the sole purpose of making the 2 look BAD.
In my ENTIRE life of being in the SYSTEM, I have NEVER seen ANYONE (except accused charged with capital offence) to be in ‘cuffed, shackled and chained’.
This is NOT the SOP for the Prison Department nor the Police, not even ISD, although they have the powers to excercise discretion.
Also, in his verdict, District Judge Ch’ng Lye Beng said he agreed with the Prosecution that “distributing flyers in a group of 5 or more persons criticizing the PAP government’s policies is an offence.”
Didn’t the Press Secretary of Millistry of Law says criticizing the Gahment’s Policies is NOT an offence or was the Judge on leave when the statement was made. Is that a legal ground then for an appeal?
Anyway, even an idiot can see that 2 sets of laws are applied here:
1. The SDP 2 broke the FAMILEE LAW
2. The PRCs broke the Criminal Law which has different standards for ‘imported citizens’ and True Blue Citizens, though not written under the Constitution but practise under ‘instructions from the top’.
Justice, equality and highfalutin hoax? I CANNOT INTEGRATE the three fictions together.
Any patriotic Singaporeans helping me?
@CHN PR VETERAN is this the democracy u r talking about?
I think TR had stated many times, PAP already have their widely read, highly circulated and professional reporting for them in Straits Times, Mediacork etc, so TR is seeking to rebalance the situation.
I really don’t see how ‘unreasonable’ it is to link the 2 articles together, because it is a FACT, and shame on you singaporeans who still think we won’t get arrested for pulling the same stunt the PRCs did. You must really be living in another place or your brains have been washed by the MSMs so much…
As for stoking the emotions etc etc, what is wrong with that? Singaporeans have been too meek anyway. Afraid to vote opposition because no one can do better than the PAP, afraid to vote opposition because ballot flat won’t get, my child won’t go into pap kindergarten etc etc.
TR just continue to do what is right. It takes time for the new ‘converts’ to finally understand we are living in a strict communist society and not the painted picture given to them since they were born.

Hi KNN,
I am only echoing what your govt has label you Singaporeans as sheep, cow and grumbler. If I call you all otherwise, your govt may charge me for lying for not calling a sheep a sheep and a cow a cow. Do you understand.
sad to see our prison department treating opposition like violent criminals. afterall, they willingly want to go to prison, why is there a need for such an inhumane treatment?
Newtype,
How much do they pay you in the Internet Brigade?
Do you get paid by the hour or by the number of comments posted?

That arsehole is a paid PAP Internet Brigader.
Ignore the dumbass.
He is just talking about himself.
Patroit… my arse.
I simply cannot understand how there can be anyone who could put the blame on the bus captain when a group of people make a din on his bus for SIX hours in order to fight for their selfish demands.
For all we know, the bus captain himself may also be a Chinese national, but it’s amazing that there are people who would automatically pin the blame on him because they insist that the family’s nuisance behaviour is a fight for “rights” and cannot be wrong.
“If we Singaporeans can always brag that we have served the army, we are living in the first world and we have the best educational system and yet none of them in the bus can subdue a small petty conflict between a family of woman, maid and granny with a bus driver but only could watch their arguments dragging for six hours, then somethings must be very wrong with the Singaporeans.”
“I am only echoing what your govt has label you Singaporeans as sheep, cow and grumbler. If I call you all otherwise, your govt may charge me for lying for not calling a sheep a sheep and a cow a cow. Do you understand.”
Also, it completely baffles me why someone could be so inconsistent, using “we Singaporeans” sometimes and “you Singaporeans” sometimes.
There is no Heisenberg Uncertainty about being a Singaporean. If a person is a Singaporean, he or she will use “we Singaporeans” all the time. If not, he or she will use “you Singaporeans” all the time.
If a person is a Chinese national, why is there a need to pretend to be a Singaporean?
What could be the purpose of this deception?
Sometimes I am so ashamed of having worked for the very people that are doing this.
Its been years and Dr Chee is no longer a threat anymore being a bankrupt with no chance of standing for GE. Why not just let it be and move on?
We all seen the wayang and the shit, so AGC can just cut to the chase and hang them, why bother to split the charges and tekan like that? Finish them off ONCE * FOR ALL and BE A MAN, use the 3 strike rules, use the ISD but GOD DAMMIT, fight like a MAN with BALLS!
No matter how the AGC make this as LEEGALLY as possible, we all know it is ‘UNDER INSTRUCTION’, so why not AGC just either drop the remaining charges or hang them if they are such a pain in the arse? Eitherway, we all know WHO & WHY, another 1000s of spins by the Shitty Times won’t change what Sinkaporeans already know.
KNN, more I see the sissies at the top, more boiled I feel for Sinkaporeans who voted for such a SISSIES managed gahment.
I don’t think TR’s intention is to be a pro-Opposition be it SDP or any other party, but merely an älternative” channel of unbiased info as they stated since the start. But indeed, quoting the way how the Court and the ruling party in govt is treating its own citizen as compared to that family of Chinese “protesters/hijackers” is a factual double standard practice being implemented by the authorities. So it’s up to all readers to make their own conclusion…

## The Patriot on Wed, 20th Jan 2010 2:24 pm
This part of your post where you described wooden Goh as “a fake lion with chicken gut and wolve heart”, I agree.
As for the others, I don’t agree..
.. and I stand by what I said about you in my earlier post.
You don’t need to try to convince me or others about what we think of you and your purpose in this forum.
It is quite obvious from what I can see in your various postings.
Do you understand ??
“Don’t you understand.”
Not really, can you please clarify if you are a China-born Singapore PR, or China-born Singapore citizen, or China-born foreign worker in Singapore?
A political party using the government apparatus to silence its critics is truly despicable.. That is why the judiciary needs to be independent and there must not be political appointments. All the checks and balances are practically non-existent in Singapore.
Mr. Lee Kuan Yew said of Chee:
a. “a political gangster, a liar and a cheat”.
b. “He’s a liar, a cheat, and altogether an unscrupulous man………I could also add that I’ve had several of my own doctors who are familiar with such conduct tell me that he is near-psychopath.”
LEE KUAN YEW IN HIS OWN WORDS……
• “We have to lock up people, without trial, whether they are communists, whether they are language chauvinists, whether they are religious extremists. If you don’t do that, the country would be in ruins.” – Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, 1986
• “Supposing Catherine Lim was writing about me and not the prime minister….She would not dare, right? Because my posture, my response has been such that nobody doubts that if you take me on, I will put on knuckle-dusters and catch you in a cul-de-sac….There is no other way you can govern in a Chinese society.” LKY
• Everybody knows that in my bag I have a hatchet, and a very sharp one. You take me on, I take my hatchet, we meet in the cul-de-sac. That’s the way I had to survive in the past. That’s the way the communists tackled me. ” – SM Lee Kuan Yew, The Man & His Ideas, 1997
Whatever he has done, to me it is a matter of perspective, Dr Chee is still the leader of an Opposition party and deserves due respect from the court.
The conduct of this case is barbaric designed to shame the accused simply because they are from the Opposition. So much for the CJ’s speech in New York.
CSJ is so highly educated yet he is so stupid to think eggs can crush pebbles….he should just become a writer for TR so he can save his bus/taxi fare and yet save the environment by saving paper and yet can spread his thoughts….it’s a clear example of high IQ but zero EQ…

I think it’s retribution for the white paper issued by a Dutch law firm during the APEC meeting in Singapore in Nov condemning govt.
In his verdict, District Judge Ch’ng Lye Beng said he agreed with the Prosecution that “distributing flyers in a group of 5 or more persons criticizing the PAP government’s policies is an offence.”
The last 8 words explain why Dr. Chee was charged in court when he wasn’t being a public nuisance whereas the 5 PRCs weren’t charged despite causing a public disturbance.
Please give Dr Chee some respect.
Honestly, is he that bad as many people think?

Haha, OK I concede that you are smarter than me.
But you are also more deceptive than me.
You said: “When I said we Singaporeans, I mean I have also served the army, live in Singapore and received education in Singapore.”
Your choice of words deliberately conceals your birth country and current citizenship.
So are you a citizen, PR or FT? Or do you insist on evading the question?
The ruling party should reconsider the way they treat the public. Seems to me that issues that post no threat to their status quo are not being treated so severely, with just a warning issued. But issues that touched on issues that threatened their existence are being policed & treated with upmost seriousness.
To be frank, if i want to continue to stay & work in Singapore, i have better keep my mouth shut & just listen to PAP ah-gongs. Otherwise, i may have my HDB flat or landed propety seized by the ruling government. Just would not want to be another Tang Liang Hong from Cheng San GRC.
Singaporeans First…
First to be shackled.
Support Dr Chee and SDP all the way! Time will prove them to be the real victors!
I wonder how the judge can do this:
In his verdict, District Judge Ch’ng Lye Beng said he agreed with the Prosecution that “distributing flyers in a group of 5 or more persons criticizing the PAP government’s policies is an offence.”
without feeling any sense of ridicule that he is convicting people of offences of such frivolous nature… sucks to be a judge, unless he is just a kangaroo
Vote out PAP to regain our right and dignity as Singapore citizen !!! PAP is the no. 1 enemy of those who love this country !!!
@Lim Leng Hiong
It seems like The Patriot is originally from China. He got all the traits of some of those unreasonable PRCs. No matter how much you argue with him, he would never admit that he’s wrong. Worse still, he will hurl all sorts of illogical arguments just to convince himself he’s right.

Is not that I don’t want to tell you all my nationality directly. Anyway, thks for your interest. The fact is that, what is the point. I can just simply tell you that I am a M’sian, Australian, Singaporean, American, Taiwanese, etc. Would you simply believe me or could you able to check whether it is true.
So it is better for you all to deduce yourself, since you all are so interested to know my nationality, from the way I write my post and the words I used. So you cow-minded, do you understand.
I don’t need to argue with you all here. The fact of the whole matter is that sheepish and cow-minded Singaporeans have no ideas of their rights, let alone stand for it. As a result, they are liked ‘a deer in the headlight’ and therefore so shocked to see a PRC elderly woman fighting the rights for an 90 years old Singaporean granny. Instead of praising the courageous PRC woman, they hurl her as hijacker and criminal.
The cow-minded Singaporeans do not even know that they are actually slaves in their own country. And as slaves they certainly would not know their rights. If these slavery S’poreans know their rights, then they would not have their government taken their employment rights, public housing rights, education rights, political rights, constitution rights, etc, away right in front of their faces. And all they can do is to whine and blame the foreigners, even going so low to victimize an elderly women.

Will Singapore’s corrupt legal system send drunk driver Dr. Irene Lim Kay Han to jail? I think not.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Singapore’s online edition of their state controlled newspaper the Straits Times of Oct 22, 2009 has this story “Doc jailed for drink driving”. She is a physician, Dr. Irene Lim Kay Han, a senior consultant radiologist at the Kandang Kerbau maternity Hospital there. On April 26, 2009 at 1.30am early morning, she was found in her stationary car in the middle of Pan Island Expressway, obviously dead drunk; since you need to be completely off your rocker to be doing this! Naturally when the police arrived, they need not ask her what was she smoking. She was reeking to high heaven with alcohol.
I don’t know, and neither do I want to check the maximum penalty for this sort of thing, but I would expect an ordinary Singaporean without Lee Kuan Yew’s political connections, would have seen jail time of perhaps 2 years!
But you see, in Singapore justice is brazenly and shamelessly selective. First, if you have political connections with Lee Kuan Yew and his friends, a couple of phone calls to a particular judge in the quiet will do wonders. Instead of going to jail, which you deserve, you may never have to go to jail at all.
Let me give you an recent example. About 6 months ago, I would say, this Singapore’s state controlled newspaper reported the case of an ethnic Chinese woman editor of a Singapore Chinese newspaper, driving her car, of killing a woman pillion rider on a motorcycle and serious injuring the driver, at the intersection of Adam and Bukit Timah Road because she was not paying attention; she was talking on her cell phone. What is more she ran the red light. A very very serious offence which rightfully deserved a long period of jail time. Yes, she was sent to jail for, if I recollect, 18 months. But you know what, on appeal she did not have to go to jail at all! The judge merely said it was not her fault, this was a mere mistake, never mind the dead woman and running the red light and so on. She walks. But I am sure, if you were thinking like me, you would know why. She is connected. A card carrying sycophant of Lee Kuan Yew. What else did you expect?
And I guess in this specialist doctor radiologist’s case it is going to be the same sort of justice. She has said she will appeal. And on appeal, the Singaporean judge will come up again with some nonsense like, this was an honest mistake, she has suffered enough because she had to have sleepless nights over this , etc etc. You see, if she is convicted and sent to jail, she will lose her job as the senior radiologist. As a result instead of emigrating to some other country; if you let her go, she may stay. Her career would not be finished. And you guessed it, she will walk.
You know in any other respectable legal system, instead of people like this being let off scott free, they would receive higher sentences, precisely because they are in positions of authority and should have been more responsible. But it is the other way around in Singapore. The courts don’t care anymore care what you think. This is a dictatorship. They rule. And you obey. They are past all that. It’s their world now, not yours.
And you find the same misuse of the law when it comes to rich foreigners. I remember some time ago a Scotsman engineer who was dead drunk in Orchard Road, stole the keys to a truck and caused serious damage while on a rampage. Nothing happened to him really. All he had to was to pay a small fine. After all he was a Scots engineer with an important job in Singapore.
A Japanese business owner, thoroughly drunk assaults a taxi driver. Singapore judge lets him off with a fine. Had it been a humble Singapore citizen, unconnected that is, he goes to jail for a long time.
But the severest punishment will go to Lee Kuan Yew’s political opponents. If Dr. Chee Soon Juan did any of that, which he will not of course, he would have to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
From this disgraceful pattern of one law for some and another law for others, you can see why the Singapore Judiciary has been thoroughly disgraced. And the International Bar Association had said just that in their 72 page report that the Singaporean judiciary systematically misuses the law selectively, in most cases to silence dissent.
I think this disgraceful message has got through to the Singapore population as well. A proof of this is the fact that no one wants to be a lawyer. There are just more than 3600 lawyers in this city state of 5 million people, which claims to be involved in international banking commerce insurance and trade. Lee Kuan Yew’s recently handpicked Minister for Law K Shanmugam compares it to, believe it or not, London, New York and Rome!
With 3600 lawyers for 5 million people in a city like London! Are you kidding!

Well, some Singaporeans are more equal than others.
“It seems like The Patriot is originally from China. He got all the traits of some of those unreasonable PRCs. No matter how much you argue with him, he would never admit that he’s wrong. Worse still, he will hurl all sorts of illogical arguments just to convince himself he’s right.”
To Anon 9:34,
This person continues to insist that the nuisance behaviour is a case of Chinese nationals fighting for “rights” instead of a group of people making a din for SIX hours to get whatever they want.
The family in question did not plan a protest against the bus company. They did not issue any message about improving wheelchair accessibility to the press. They complained about lunch, going to the toilet and most importantly, wanting to go home. They wanted the bus company to give them a free ride home. When the free ride was successfully demanded, they did not follow up with any suggestion for the bus company to improve on.
On top of all that, there are two Singaporeans in the family – the granny and her daughter. From the news photos it can be clearly seen that two middle-aged women were arguing with a police officer while the maid and the granny were resting on the bus seats, indicating that the Singaporean auntie was also actively involved in the argument.
Thus, it can be clearly seen that this is definitely not a case of Chinese nationals fighting for “rights”. It is a case of a group of unreasonable people who insist on bringing a wheelchair up a bus that has no wheelchair facilities and wanting to have their way no matter what.
To me it is impossible to comprehend why anyone would continue to see it as a fight for “rights” despite all the evidence against it, and worse still have the sheer audacity to pin the blame on the bus captain instead! Outrageous!
Odd that a person would have such an immovable stand.
Also strange that the person uses “we Singaporeans” and “you Singaporeans” inconsistently.
Stranger still, the person likes to use terms that the government uses, such as “sheep”, to insult the other commenters here.
So I suspected that the person is a Chinese national pretending to be a Singaporean in order to fake a moral high ground to lecture and insult real Singapore citizens.
But when I asked about the person’s birth country and current citizenship, that person refused to talk about it.
Not just once, but THREE times!
Please consider this:
No matter where a person comes from, why would anyone who calls himself/herself “The Patriot” EVER deny his/her own citizenship? For THREE times?
If I was asked about my citizenship I would say Singapore-born Singapore citizen without any hesitation.
It doesn’t matter whether I am using my own name or a pseudonym, the fact that I am a Singaporean is not something I want to deny or can deny.
So is that person so ashamed of his birth country and citizenship that it must always be denied?
Now he claims to be a “Red Indian from Idaho, USA” and seems to be unaware that real Native Americans would never use such a derogatory and obsolete term to call themselves.
Once again refusing to tell the truth, once again denying his own birth country and current citizenship.
Deception after deception after deception.
This is unbelievable!
