YPAP member Sear Hock Rong threatens to take “serious” action against 3in1kopitiam forumers for posting his personal information online

The on-going spate between YPAP and 3in1kopitiam forum appears to have taken a turn for the worse with Mr Sear Hock Rong threatening to take “serious” action against the forumers for posting his personal information online.
Mr Sear Hock Rong has come under heavy criticisms of late for taunting Mr Alex Tan, a critic of the PAP, for his previous detention during National Service for “general disobedience”.
Mr Tan is a regular forumer of 3in1kopitiam forum using the moniker “interpretsg”.
Since the saga erupted, the forumers of 3in1kopitiam have been “digging” out Mr Sear’s business and grassroots activities.
Mr Sear runs an education service company which was registered only in July this year. In the span of six months, his start-up managed to secure 24 clients including the following grassroots organizations: Eunos Citizens’ Consultative Committee, Eunos Zone ‘1′ Residents’ Committee, Eunos Zone ‘3′ Residents’ Committee and Eunos Zone ‘5′ Residents’ Committee.
According to information posted on Mr Sear’s company website, Mr Sear is the Chairman of Eunos Community Club Youth Executive Committee.
His business partner Mr Fong Yoong Keong is the Vice-Chairman of Eunos CC Youth Executive Committee and Assistant Secretary of Eunos Zone ‘3′ RC.
A 3in1kopitiam forumer “mrbell” started a discussion thread on the YPAP Facebook Network querying Mr Sear if there are any conflict of interest between his job and capacity as a grassroots leader in Eunos.
Mr Sear did not answer the question directly and instead chose to take pot shots at the forumers for hiding behind the cloak of anonymity and label some of them belonging to the “YPAP Counterstrike squad” as “terrorists”.
His incendiary remarks further peeved off the forumers who took turns flaming him in the forum. Not only were Mr Sear’s photos pasted all over the place, his personal particulars such as his NRIC number and residential address were also revealed.
Mr Sear posted a comment on Temasek Review yesterday afternoon berating us for not highlighting in our previous article on the matter that some forumers of 3in1kopitiam, including the moderator, have posted his photos and personal information in the forum:
He added he “take this seriously and is considering taking action soon”. Mr Sear did not elaborate on what action he will take against the 3in1kopitiam forumers.
There is very little he can do other than to write in to the moderator to remove his photos and particulars from the forum.
In the meantime, another 3in1kopitiam forumer using the moniker “CrocDundee53″ had set up a “YPAP Network 1″ to mirror the issues discussed in the original YPAP Network.
“CrocDundee53″ commented that he was unable to start a new discussion or participate in them either on the YPAP Network.
“Maybe they are in damage control mode,” he quipped.
The YPAP’s latest foray into cyberspace is nothing short of a PR disaster. Instead of engaging netizens, they manage to ailenate many by adopting a condescending attitude towards them.
Netizens asking relevant questions about possible conflict of interest between Mr Sear’s job and grassroots work were challenged either to reveal their real identities or report the matter to the authorities.
When Mr Alex Tan challenged the YPAP to have an open debate at Speakers’ Corner, they did not even bother to reply. It is indeed worrying that the YPAP seems out of touch with the larger online community and unable to grasp the real issues at hand.

What a joke. This Sear guy is so deep in sh*t and continues to dig deeper. He should have shut up at teh start but he thinks he is LKY and can say whatever he likes and even make threats he thinks he can push through to silence his critics.
I am looking forward to see how this will end. With a name like Sear, he is unlikely to be forgotten soon – just like Riz Low. Boomz!

Mr Sear is such a nut given his incredibly short business duration, he can managed to secure so many contracts with the various govt related organisations, this should arouse people’s curiosity. Mr Sear pls do not take it too seriously. anyone even using his backside to think will realise that this is a minor thing. life is never perfect just like you and me or this place will be called heaven.
And i think Mr Tan ’s effort to expose your details is good for you as you are now famous and your business will grow even faster pace. i think so .

By the way, why this clown threatening to sue people when his information is available and put publicly by him ?
His pictures and information are nothing new as they can be googled out just using his name “sear hock rong”. Since this Sear is so crazy to sue people like Old Fart, why not he start suing Google as the main culprit first ? It is by usng Google that people able to google out his information. By suing Google, he will do his masters and old fart a great favour, and he might even have a street name after him if he is successful.
If he want to sue, go ahead and sue those who dig out info by googling then, and show the world how stupid and brainless YPAP can be.
Let me give you a example of a brainless clown name Ah Seng.
Ah Seng:
“I am in business myself and I want to make my service, myname, my company, my capability and role as a grassroot leader known so that I can have more business opportunity. I will put my information publicly so people can see for themselves I am for real.”
After few months,
Ah Seng: “WTF ! Someone dig out my information and handsome face “secretly” through public information. How did they get my information without my approval ? Just because I place my information and handsome picture publicly doesn’t mean that people is allow to Google out about me. It is about me, just like Ris Low is about Her. They must ask for my permission to google my info ! My info is copyright down from word, text and handsome face.”
Everyone surely heard about this joke.
Wealthy Ah Seng shout to Ah Lian publicly in Orchard Road:
“I have a secret message to tell you. You must keep it a secret and let no one around you know about it. The secret I am going to tell you is that I am still a virgin !”
Ah Lian shout back to Ah Seng: “What ? You wealthy scumbag is a virgin ? Then I,a flirtatious whore, must be a virgin too. Let us keep this as a secret only both of us know. Okay ?”

Sear Hock Rong,
Since you are in a position of service to the People, the good folks here basically DEMAND that you come clean. Especially so if you have done nothing wrong. Otherwise, I think there are more than enough determined individuals who will distill the facts one way or the other.
1) Have you used/abused your position to secure your business contracts?
2) Was there any conflict of interest, real or perceived? This is particularly crucial if public monies are used in any of the contracted activities.
3) There are protocols to be followed when in situations where there may potentially be conflict of interest. Did you follow them, e.g. declaration of interest and/or tender requirement?
Silence is not an option as it is tantamount to admission of guilt in the public perception. Do remember we, the PEOPLE, are watching.

Sear Hock Rong should sue Google instead for indexing his funeral blanket business. Perhaps Google a multibillion dollar company may countersue you for being ignorant of how Google’s bot works as they have published it online. BTW, Sear, you are exploiting the grievances of the deceased loved ones by charging exorbitant prices for cheapo stuff.
Sear seems to be ignorant of how the business world works. Registry of Company (ROC) records are public records, anyone can view the particulars of a company, as long as they pay for it online. Govt needs the revenue anyway to maintain the database.
Every day, local banks & foreign banks in Spore, foreign investors overseas sometimes hiring an intermediary access records of directors, physical location of companies & accounts of these companies registered with ROC. All these are done without the knowledge of the companies being searched.
So what is so private about Sear’s info? You need to check with the bankers more to see how much covert operations they do to get not only ROC records but also the detailed intelligence gathering they do without the knowledge of the company.

Do not post harsh comments or question him anymore. Whether there is a conflict of interest or not, we all know in our hearts can already.
Sear Hock Rong aka the people’s person will take serious action like sending you his company’s funeral blanket to you and your family. He can also ban you from going to young pap network facebook, and you will be barred from attending any Eunos grassroots parties… EVER.

This joker Sear really is beginning to hallicinate and believes that he is Emperor Lee the ‘untouchable’.
What can he do?
1. Sue? Any law undergraduate can defend that case with both his eyes closed.
2. Report the matter to the Police? On what ground? All his information is available in PUBLIC DOMAIN!
3. Get ISD to arrest all 3in1kopitiam forummers? Tsk Tsk
… unless of course Sear is well connected to the Kangaroos or someone at the TOP who is in a position to instruct the Kangaroo to convict and take action BLINDLY.
By not coming clean from the onset, Sear has only proven himself to be a person with ’something’ to hide and from my many years of being in the system, I smell a RAT!
It is beyond reasonable doubt that he is ‘guilty’ of ’something’ and if the PAPies are true to their claims of ‘whiter than white’, then an investigation should be ordered into the affairs of Sear and Eunos.
ON A SIDE NOTE, if Sear can ‘really’ single handedly bring in 20 Gahment Linked clients in under 6 months without asking for any ’specials favours’, then I STRONGLY PROPOSE that he be made the Minister for Foreign Affairs or President of GIC or TH.

Thank goodness 3in1kopitiam and TR have nothing to do with SPH. Look at what happened to Mr Brown’s post on Insing.com – kena censored just because some mighty PAP minster don’t like it personally.
So please don’t tell us Singapore is a free country and we are able to express ourselves. The fact is the PAP is trying their utmost to limit that.

I don’t see what’s the fuss about this “conflict of interest”.
For many years several town councils have been using the estate management services of EM Services.
Ang Mong Seng, MP for Hong Kah GRC is the Chief Operating Officer of EM Services. Although he is Chairman of Hong Kah Town Council and Vice Chairman of South- West Community Development Council, EM Services has not problems making tenders for Hong Kah Town Council projects.

Remeber that AMS is an MP, ranking much much higher than this Sear joker who is ONLY a small fly YPAP leader of sorts.

When A published C’s personal information on the internet and receiving the same treatment from D,E, F, & G, I don’t comprehend how any court of law could entertain such a litigation without dismissing them as “vexatious, frivolous and without merit”
It can’t look respectable of the law to saw A did is very respectable of lawful conduct and, D,E,F and G have offended by way of alleged “unlawful” behaviour when the conduct complained of and equally committed of is the SAME FOR BOTH THE PLAINTIFF AND THE DEFENDANTS or does it???
My understanding of equity law principles is that those who seek justice in the chancery court of equity ‘must come with a clean hands” as the parlance of law says it.
It would be interesting to see how it will evolve from this point.

@All is fair, being a lay person, it can also be argued that whatever A did though unlawful (and not taken to task) does not negate the fact that what D, E, F and G did was ALSO unlawful.
Just because NOBODY took A to task does not automatically imply that A has lost the right to be protected by law and go after D, E, F and G.

When you refer to records of companies with ACRA, there is a list of who else had accessed the company’s information. So, yes, there is a public audit trail. However, this information only reflects which law firm or corporate secretarial office accessed the information, not who their client is.

I’m asking you when you would be apologising for labeling 3in1kopitiam forumers as “terrorists”? This is a serious allegation.
As for your IC number, address being published by forumers on 3in1kopitiam and elsewhere on the net, let me remind you that these are public information already accessable thru ACRA. Any companies in Singapore would have their director names, address, IC numbers, company paid-up etc registered in ACRA which is available for public to see. This is to help facilitate people intending to do business with your company. I’m sure you are aware of it, Mr Sear?
Now, back to the issue on hand, when are you going to apologise to 3in1kopitiam forumers for calling us “terrorists”? And by the way, it would also be good if you, a grassroot leader of Eunos, can explain to all how R2E (your company) gets the various type of businesses from Eunos RCs?
