Xiaxue’s caucasian boyfriend proposed to her at Nuffnang movie event

Singapore celebrity blogger Xiaxue aka Wendy Cheng received a pleasant surprise last Friday when her long-time caucasian boyfriend Mike proposed to her during a movie promotion event with Nuffnang, an online advertising portal.
In a short video clip shot by blogger “Idreamtobreakaway” who was present at the event, Mike was seen holding a small red box as he walked in with the crew before the movie “Couple retreat” was screened.
He reportedly said this to Xiaxue:
“Baby will you marry me?”
And Xiaxue exclaimed: “Oh my god!”

Why is this an important news on TR?
I just don’t get it.
Why does news about so-called “celebrity blogger” Xiaxue’s marriage proposal merit a mention in the TOP NEWS section of Temasek Review ?
Is her marriage proposal so newsworthy ? If you don’t and won’t treat your news website seriously, I am sure your readers will also not.
If your contribuor and editor want to return Xiaxue a favour or to further her publicity, please do it elsewhere and not impugn on the news image of Temasek Review.

Please rest assured that we will continue to provide hard-hitting political news and commentaries. Entertainment news as such will always remain on the fringes. We know where our priorities lie.
Please do differentiate between gossips and entertainment. This is regarding the personal life of an entertainer, as is that of Tiger Woods. These are gossips, not entertainment news.
The nose job, the whitening of skin, bleaching of hair… why do I get the feeling that she is the Michael Jackson of Singapore?
Then i would suggest a change of name as well.

This is not newsworthy. Both parties are of no interest to the general population in Singapore. In fact, a lot of people actually abhor her and have no interest in her life.
Please be more circumspect on your entertainment news. There are other more worthy items to be reported on.
Anyway, thanks for the continuous good job on the main issues being reported.
I have no objections on lifestyle news but give me novia lim any time rather than xiaxue. The point is, she is not worthy even of lifestyle news. Who cares about yet another sarong party girl?

This is so typical of Singaporean girls. When they see a white guy, they think that they saw God. In Hong Kong, the white guys are no longer in demand. The US, EU & Australia are still in recession. That’s why white girls like rich yellow guys like me.
