Sweta Agarwal’s Facebook and her husband’s webpage exposed by netizens

From our Correspondent

The ongoing debate on the benefits of being a PR versus a citizen in ST discussion board has turned ugly with one netizen digging out Sweta Agarwal’s Facebook account:

http://www.facebook.com/people/Sweta-Agarwal/788752441

And that of her husband website:

http://www.asagarwal.com/

Most netizens are appalled at the arrogance and impetulance displayed by Ms Agarwal in her second letter in which she insisted on her right as a PR for being given equal benefits in education as citizens.

The anger of netizens were compounded by comments posted by a moniker “Sweta Agarwal” though her identity cannot be independently verified. She wrote:

“To all those who ask me to go back to India, my answer is SORRY NO. Why should i go back? . My husband is a computer engineer and singapore needs such foreign talents. He guides and teaches his inferiors in office who are singaporeans. I insist I want best education for my daughter. In the fast develoing world, to talk about citizeh, PR etc is non-sense. These are talk of losers and incompetent people. I will go back to India when singapore becomes rotten in future. So we wont take citizenship here. We have the support of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew, who is a visionary and stateman.”

Racial slurs are also being uttered by netizens contemptuous of Ms Agarwal’s perceived callousness.

Wrote Regina:

“I totally agree with both of you, these North India Hindis are big big time Pariahs , their nose is always in the air and will always take advantages and abuses the privileges accorded to them especially in US, Canada and UK. Not much our locals can do about it and have to live with it, our gahmen is aware of it and are happy to have more such FT like Sweta Agarwal.”

Bangali added:

“Stupid stupid Mrs Agarwal. Dun understand logic?

You stay Singapore or India now? You want good and cheap education for your daughter and want the govt to give your precious daughter the best school and want cheap some more, where to get? Sg govt aredi good enuf, give ur husband good job, now you want to snatch place for your precious daughter! Shame on you! I guess you better wipe your backside now and retreat back to your own homeland! You are a disgrace to India!!!!!!

You want cheap, you want good, what else? If your husband so capable ask him send your precious daughter to international school la! So STUPID.”

Others castigated her for wanting to enjoy the same rights as citizens.

Wrote yiplaiyee:

“Dear Mrs Agarwal,

If I were a PR in India and I have a kid and, you are a citizen there, but my kid get priority over your kid in getting a place in the primary school in India, how would you feel? It’s this feeling that my fellow citizens and myself are feeling that makes our blood boil, understand? It’s not about us being demanding lot. It’s just the opposite. Every citizen in any country in the world would expect priority over the PR, is that too much to ask for? I can understand your concern over your child’s education. Who doesn’t want their child to have the best education in the world, right? Same goes for the citizens here. But if every other PR also gets priority over the citizen in getting a place in the school, where do we draw the line? There’s no end in sight. So I hope you understand that the govt should give priority to its citizens over PRs in certain areas like places for primary schools and so on and so forth. You as a citizen of India would also expect your own govt to do the same, isn’t it?”

Added Doublecrossed:

“Mrs Agarwal,

I totally agree with you that OUR children should have the best education that they can get. so like every else, on the notion that no differences between CITIZENs and PRs. Would it not be the case as “LIKE EVERYONE ELSE” we all go through the same process?.

I am BAFFLED by your insistence that your child SHOULD be the 1st in line for the better schools over others. This being the case, why “LIKE EVERYONE ELSE”.

Also, you have an option that we sgreans don’t get. That is you can enrol your child into the INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS, that are in abundance here in SG, unless you admit that you can’t afford.

If so, than you or your husband would be at BEST the “so, so FT only”. So this being the case, why don’t you just SHUT UP and join the Q. If not then PACKED UP and be on your way. WHO’s STOPPING YOU ?”

karaokeking simply asked her to get lost:

“To those who challenge the beech to be take up citizenship: We need foreign trash like her to get lost, not stay on as citizens! If she could afford it, her kid would be in an international school, not fighting for a place in local schools, so we know at what class of “talent” she really is. It’s our govt’s fault putting the “talent” concept into their big heads. Who wants to have babies when the competition with foreign trash starts at five!”

Judging from the massive outpouring of grievances by Singaporeans against foreigners, it appears that the issue of foreign workers is becoming a sore point among many citizens, which is not detected by a government becoming out of touch with the real sentiments on the ground.

These are stuff thats makes our blood boil! This is good stuff, it gives SInkaporeans an insight into what EXACTLY the gahment is dishing out to Sinkaporeans and how LOW Sinkaporeans can be, in the eyes of their very OWN gahment.

With such awareness and realisation, it might help Sinkaporeans to WAKE UP!

    Dear Robox,
One need not have to be a racist to make a ‘racist’ comment, just look at what she has written….
“My husband is a computer engineer and singapore needs such foreign talents. He guides and teaches his inferiors in office who are singaporeans” …
“HIS INFERIORS IN HIS OFFICE WHO ARE SINGAPOREANS” …. got it Robox how she looks down on the Local?
What message is she sending? It is certainly infuriating.

    Hi x-ISD Tay,

Most Singaporeans are contented to sleep. Some may be awake, complaining, arguing and debating with one another online, but after a while, it will be died out with everything forgotten.

When elections come, the PAP will be voted into power again by an overwhelming “mandate” and the same old story goes on again and again – the predictable cycle of life in Singapore. Nothing ever changes. Singaporeans are really a pathetic, hopeless and balless bunch, contented to be screwed day in and out by the PAP.

There’re a sizeable proportion of Indian PRs living in my condo & other condos. They are very nice and homely people. They like to read and congregate amongst themselves to exchange info & news. Unlike the PRCs who are more visible and love the outdoors at malls, shopping & hawkers centres, etc. Guess it’s the different cultures.
We shd welcome these people so long as they don’t break the laws. They’re here to contribute to our economy now facing stiff global competition not belittle them.

  • centurion:

I am a 3rd gen Singapore born Indian who has visited India many times and I have seen her type. I can tell you that the India indians who come to Singapore are the worst of the lot. I have seen how they live and their smelly dirty habits and their uncouth behavior where they treat their poor with comtempt and disgust and treat servants like slaves. But when they come to Singapore they try to act ‘atas”. When thy have a little bit of money , they act like they are kings and the world owes them a living. You shd see the conditon of the apartment they rent in Singapore after they leave. U will be shocked. U need a major refurbishment after they leave and fumigate 10 times to get the dirt and filth out. No wonder no one wants to rent aprtments to them. i learnt my lesson the hard way by renting my aprtment to one such family. Never again. Cheap skate filty bustards and they supposed to be India’s middle class. This is whats happening in Sngapore. we are seeing the botton of the barrel of these types like Aggraval who come here and talk big. She and her family shd go back to their dirty rotten smelly homes in India.

  • Terence Goh:

The government knows what’s happening on the ground, just that it is giving the middle finger to Singaporeans challenging us “what can you do about it?”.

All PAP need to do is to give some pre-election goodies, laced with fear and Singaporeans will continue to vote for them. It is a well tested formula that hasn’t failed.

By the time the next election after 2011 comes, the number of foreigners would have outnumbered Singaporeans. Singaporeans, out competed on jobs will be addicted to government handouts. By that time I don’t think Singaporeans will even have the chance to decide their own future.

  • what the devil is going on singapore…

are we so desperate that we need these kind of FTs?

Or we need the savings instead of hiring locals who will leap at the opportunities and challenges?

Or we need more money thru foreign levies/taxes desperately..to help the poor, to help the less fortunate..[dun believe in the local charities anymore due to NKF & others...donate almost 8k to NKF...oni to find out only 10 cent per dollar reach the patient]?

Does this really mean the gov’t really truely dun care about its citizens…i use to support pap…as time progress i got uncomfortable, tot it is a couple of bad apples…now only left hope things will get better…but these past 6 years, the place i used to work my team mates used to be mostly singaporeans…nw i am the only singaporean in the team…some of fellow foreign team mates earn more then me…are we/am i really that lousy or written off by singapore…i am still trying not to believe it is so…

we are lousy becos of past policies that made us lousy…and when this shown true of the policies…we get blame or made to feel small…

i understand the current policy is to bring competition, new ideas and to make us be more effective, more competitive and more atune to the world in a level playing field…

so far i dun see any level playing field…how to compete when many of the FT got their degrees [much easier] in their home countries in north east asia and south east asia [except for those developed countries super ex] … while in singapore we have so many obstacles to overcome, so expensive to upgrade our education qualifications and there isn’t enough Unis for the locals or even 2nd chances [policy is oni one chance in singapore] of many of us…

seems as a local if you fail or not good enuf once in singapore…you are lousy or written off in singapore…sad.

Instead of being united together to move citizens forward together…it is starting to be clear to me singaporean don’t help singaporean…becoming more like helping outsiders at our expense…

doubly sad. Hope only now it will change for the better of our kids…but it really looks bad.

interesting points brought up by robox.

first, regarding the chinks issue, i think if you ever come across something like this but chinky, i am sure TR will not refrain from posting it here on the basis that it’s chinky. unless you have evidence from past episodes to suggest otherwise.

second, does simply cutting and pasting acquit TR of the racist charge? i think it is pasted here more because the PR issue has become a hot topic for discussion. unless you are suggesting that TR steer away from such contentious issue so as to , as per commmon pap logic, maintain s fake sense of harmony based on ‘rottan stick’ consensus than trust of the muddy process of letting differences work themselves out.

i say let’s get it all out, there is ample cyberspace for diverse opinions and disagreement, and if a society is to grow, it has to deal with such awkwardness. frustrations may boil and latch on socially repressed fault lines but sooner the better these see the light, especially under a system bent on compliant citizenry- who knows what lurks underground.

at the end of the day, it’s about trust, whether you believe singaporeans, after their blood flow returns to normal rate, are sane enough to distinguish an isolated case of arrogance without the need to resort to racial generalizations.

lee kuan yew doesn’t trust they will be, because he doesn’t trust basically, he’s a creature of tons of fear, and i pity him. most importantly, that’s where the key of transition lies. trust. not fear, which has shackled singaporeans long enough they are screaming foul at the tear of their vocal cords, can’t you already hear?

  • Jezebella:

I have no problems if PRs choose to retain their original nationality, and have even less problems with them loving their countries (which may be a core reason why they refuse to take up SG citizenship).

But, I cannot fathom why she has to insult Singaporeans. That is very rude and uncalled for. But then again, maybe she’s gone through that kind of rubbish from Singaporeans. It is likely, because I’ve had friends who hate foreigners indiscriminatingly, and the reasons can be quite rubbish too.

While the PRs should not get shortchanged, the citizens should not too, especially in favour of PRs. This not only alienates the citizens, but will drive a wedge between and PRs and locals. And since the wedge is already there, may I say it only serves to widen the divide!

Maybe when parents apply for school vacation, the citizenship/nationality option should not exist so there cannot be any discrimination for either side.

  • KAM:

All of you are barking up the wrong tree.
The foreigner is not wrong. The postings could be faked.
What is a fact is the POLICIES.
    Who makes the policies?
    You? Me?
The people who voted in PAP and then PAP makes the policies.
Stop barking up the wrong tree, and exercise your vote carefully next time.

  • Darth Vader:

Why is it when shit like the Agarwals come here they are foreign talents, but when Singaporeans are given a better opportunity abroad they are quitters? Aren’t scum like the Agarwals themselves quitters? So why shouldn’t we strip them naked, and then tar and feather them and run them out of town after humiliating them publicly? After all, it is no less than what they deserve for being quitters who bring their quitter mentality here to contaminate locals.

Admin, I personally would ignore Robox’s complaints of racism. The very fact that he calls Chinese Singaporeans racist names like Chinks when the readers here are merely expressing their outrage at the arrogance of the Agarwals shows that he himself is one, not to mention a hypocrite as well.

  • looks like shit, smells like shit.:

everyone should find out where she lives, and throw eggs in their place whenever anyone passes by them.

  • Stenley Or Fatt Lam:

SWETA AGAWAL- FUCK OFF AND GO HOME!

  • Agreed with KAM…i understand to get singapore where it is, the policies, the policies are aggressive and rutheless…but those policies are need to get singapore where it is..

but we should leave anyone behind as long as he or she is a citizen of singapore…never…the policies must factor this in to.

but when the policies turn out wrong…will re-look, re-work and re-balance of these policies…

i hate the idea of sitting to a policy that is burning in flames out of the sky in flames…and when this is pointed out by concerned folks…we are told to ignore it or live with it and we are ridding those flames.

  • Terence Goh:

Government policies and the selfish/arrogant behaviour of some foreigners are two separate matters.

True, the government is to be blamed for letting the floodgates open, but Singapore has all along welcome foreigners.

The problem is some recent imports are overbearing with their selfishness and arrogance. We reserve the right to lambaste such people, to put them in their place.

Re: “interesting points brought up by robox…does simply cutting and pasting acquit TR of the racist charge? i think it is pasted here more because the PR issue has become a hot topic for discussion. unless you are suggesting that TR steer away from such contentious issue…”

No, don’t steer away from the fundamentally flawed foreign workers POLICY; but the constant, and inordinate number of attacks on PEOPLE of Indian origin that ALWAYS degenerates into racist attacks that Indian Singaporeans have also been subjected to by chinks will not endear Singaporean Indians to the chink cause; it wasn’t too long ago that we to have been similarly targetted by chink racism. The only reason that there is a mere appearance of a shift to other targets is because you chinks have found for yourselves another convenient target.

All of you who purport to be against the PAP’s foreign workers policy but continue to target Indians ONLY for alleged misdemeanour, however slight, are doing exactly what the Big Chink Lee Kuan Yew has ALWAYS done to Indians.

If you want to know my own take on this issue:

    1) Indian nationals still speak a very old-fashioned English replete with offensive uses words and phrases;

    2) Ms Aggrawal was wrong to use the word “inferior”, however, it is not very different from how Singaporeans use the word “superior” to describe their bosses at their workplaces and in the army.

    3) Did any of you chinks expect that she would have experienced a total transformation to Singapore culture as soon as she first stepped onto Singapore soil?

    4) But Singaporeans don’t have a better suggestion to describe the relationship between boss and employee from the employer point of view; you chinks still don’t use the word “subordinate” with any currency.

    5) Is this chink racism your solution to getting Ms Aggrawal to change the language that she used?

So what the fuck is this “go back to India” racist taunts that Indian Singaporeans were also subjected to until a new target was found?.

No, Temasek Review is just trolling for the racist taunts from chinks who can be trusted to respond accordingly.

Yet, they can make the hifalutin’ claim in just a recent article about how important racial and religious harmony in Singapore is.

Am I supposed to fall for in this typical chink two-facedness?

  • Robox:

    This is to sheldo again:

Re: “first, regarding the chinks issue, i think if you ever come across something like this but chinky, i am sure TR will not refrain from posting it here on the basis that it’s chinky. unless you have evidence from past episodes to suggest otherwise.”

The burden of proof is equally on you, chink.

  • sheldon:

    robox,

first of all, i am not at all offended by that word ‘inferior’ . i have no problem at all with people calling me chink or ‘manjan’. in fact, i have more indian friends than chinese and my ex is a malay. some of them tell me they do feel discriminated in singapore, like lee modelling singapore into a confucian society, and many other sleight of hand tactics to assimilate the minorities to the dominant race, who will never know anything about discrimination because they are the majority.

for those interested, you may want to read ‘ constructing singapore: elitism, ethnicity and the nation building project’ by michael d.barr and zlako skrbis’, which you can borrow at the national library. it will offer you a side of the story of singapore, of how the educational system seeks to tweak the singaporean mind to accept the chinese as a superior race.

in the 1980s, educationists were for the first time commissioned to flavor english textbooks with a local setting.

“a particularly strong and consistent stereotype was the depiction of teachers as chinese…..in the minds of singaporean primary children…the teacher was and is a god-like being: a form of authority and dispenser of knowledge’ (page 165)

not only that but the other races were consistently stereotyped as doing menial jobs. for example, ‘ mlalays and indians might be nearly excluded from the teacher roles, but they comprise a disproportionately high number of the police-characters’ (page 167).

‘barr’s survey of 1980s textbooks uncovered only three definite mentions of non chinese as teacher characters: a mr singh and a mrs devan and mrs rama. the near omission of indian teachers is particularly striking as indians have always been well represented in the teaching profession in singapore, confirming that the world being depicted in these textbooks is not so much a reflection of the social reality as it is of chinese prejudices.’ (page 166)

1990s present a different picture, probably to groove with the rising educational level of parents, one which is less overt. ‘ the chinese characters in this series were consistently portrayed in dominant, proactive postures, addressing the reader or the other characters in a friendly, smiling fashion, but the indian and malay characters were drawn in passive, non-speaking roles, looking away from the reader and more rarely smiling in a friendly fashion.’ (page 169)

which is not really surprising given lee’s very matter of factly confession that he doesn’t believe in the equality of races and that he takes as truth that chinese is more superior race.

i am sure some of you ‘chinks’ might have been brainwashed without you even knowing, especially those of you who do not have non-chinky friends, but it’s alright, at the end of the day, we are on this planet to grow right, i mean, what can i say, hehehe

so….my dear friend, what shall we debate now?

  • Venomous:

The fact that Robox goes round calling Chinese “chinks” shows us how much toxin and venom a snake like him/her and Sweta Agarwal possessed in their mind and mouth! And it is not too difficult to understand how poisonous an arrogant creature like Robox can be, when they can even treat their own fellow Indians from a lower caste as slaves back in their very own country?

This also shows India is producing so many scum and rubbish like Robox who not only stink the whole world with their unbearable BO, but also polluting the whole world with their stupid, mindless but arrogant mindset…the same mindset that makes India one of the filthiest, dirty and backward country in the world.

Now we know why they are so very much hated compare to other foreigners in Australia (and not only by the whites, but also most other minorities as well)???

  • randomnessinmind:

    ………………………………………..

    How about this.

Fuc* RACISM. I do not see why we’re EVEN TALKING ABOUT RACISM.

And yes I still prefer it if Ms ARGAWAL returns to India. I do not see why how this conversation ended up about Racism when we’re asking AN INDIAN NATIONAL TO GO BACK TO INDIA.

I am NOT SUPPOSED to request she go to the NORTH POLE NOW, would I?

There is nothing racist within the article. Am I supposed to scold China when India Insults me? Good god enough of stupid racism. You all are human beings, like it or not, live with it.

  • Darth Vader:

Robox complaints of discrimination against gays when many of them come from wealthy elite families and hold high-paying jobs such as lawyers, doctors, investment brokers and senior civil servants, certainly something that will never happen if there is genuine discrimination against them. He complaints of hardcore criminals converting to Christianity in prison, totally ignoring the fact that this always happens because Christian pastors extend a hand of friendship to these outcasts of society and show them that their lives don’t need to be endless cycles of crimes and imprisonment. Now he complaints of racism against Indians when he himself demonstrates racism through the use of derogatory terms such as “Chinks” and his claims of a Chinese conspiracy to enslave the world.

I think the above proven facts should show everyone here what sort of whiny, selfish, self-centered hypocrite he is. The best thing for everyone is to treat him like the scumbag he is and ignore him.

    To Venomous,
Just like to highlight this point to you in case you were not aware.
Do you know the Indians are referred to as ‘Kelengs’ even in a forum where educated Singaporeans express their views? It is not just ‘keleng, it is ‘chao keling’ ’shit black skinned kelengs, ‘dung eating baboons’ & many more…all these adjectives are from our EDUCATED MASSES!
What does this tells us? …..that ALL OF US… Local Singaporeans are RACISTS without doubt. This is a REALITY I have come to accept and grow up with.
I grew up having many close & best friends from other races, wonderful friends, we are never racial. Every time a person from another ethnic group annoys or irritates me, I ALWAYS (without fail) compare him/her with my friend of that ethnic group & would realize there are ‘black sheeps’ in every race, that made me not to stereo-type anyone base on thier ethnicity. but what about the majority of Singaporeans who only stick to their ethnic groups?
Perhaps we all have learn to become tolerant(or rather immune)to one another , but that does not make us less racial.
Our pioneers used the word ‘keleng’ (on those days) to identify the Indians from the Malays (as they seem to look familiar to them, as you know, to the Westerners all the Asians look alike and vice versa) not to degrade them. But these days it has become something to degrade someone, though we are all more educated (some even have overseas prestigious university degrees)more all-knowing than our ancestors!

The chink racism is all evident in this thread, with:

    1) first, TR’s motivation to invite vitriol by chinks against ALL Indians including Singaporeans by starting this thread because they are confident in the the end result; and,

    2) the responses given by the motherfucking chink racist pigs here themselves.

If you think that I’m going to back down because of your motherfucking chink racist bullying, you got something very wrong.

  • Auntie:

    TSK TSK TSK…

    you people are ALL WRONG…

Ask not why auntie would grab more packs of chilli sauce in a fast food restaurant, ask why is the restaurant giving out free packs of chilli sauce in the 1st place.

  • Robot:

Here’s a riddle – When you see an Indian and a snake while walking in the forest, and both are as threatening to your life, who do you whack first??

As for Robox, I don’t really know who his bitch mother fuck to give birth to a deformed bastard like him!

Indians (those from India specifically) are simply pollutants in the human world!

Mod’s Note: Please mind your language and show some respect for others. Thank you.

  • Robox:

I know who my mother is Robot, you motherfucking chink racist pig.

And I know it couldn’t have been that bitch that YOU call mother.

And when you see a chink and a snake, who do you kill?

Answer: How to tell the difference?

  • exposed??:

What are you exposing about?? It’s only a Facebook page and her husband’s company page. In fact, you’re giving the husband free publicity for his company. Wrong move.

  • Nigel Steven Cornelius:

its sad to see singaporeans killing themselves here when the FT’s are laughing at our disunity……….

  • sama sama:

Robox, are you not a racist yourself…and the most fanatical one in this thread, or maybe in TR?

  • hairy:

I agree with randomnessinmind on Sat, 22nd Aug 2009 10:01 am
The main characters in this thread, Sweta Agarwal and her family are Indian. Who will suggest them to back their country, say ‘China’? What is wrong with asking them to go back to India?

  • randomnessinmind:

Forget what I said. It seems pointless talking to Robox here.

  • Rain:

not as if Singapores don’t have Indians! we should make good use of our existing LOCAL indian CITIZENS – throw them into grassroots, law school, IT and engineering course or whatever. kick the foreign ones out!

  • sicktothebones:

I believe the MOE’s stand on the matter is that it is in our national interest to give equal priority to PRs’ children together with citizens.
maybe MOE thinks that such carrots will make them more rooted and more likely to convert to spore citizenship.
But someone rightly pointed out that it is akin to committing `political suicide’ to do so as this will turn the citizens against the govt.
a good analogy would be thenindian govt giving equal priority to Pakistani PR’s childrens in Indian schools. Will they also think it is in their national interest to do so?
Time and History will tell who is right.

  • Robox:

    To randomnessinmind:

Re: “It seems pointless talking to Robox here.”

I think it’s more pointless for you to defend the indefensible.

  • regardlessof race:

    Robox,
you are perhaps a FT? and that too a Hindian?
No wonder, you are cynical, & seem to blow your top over nothing! Not used to ya? GOOD!
Sure all this while it has been you people who put others down in your country and now when it is happening to you, you can’t take it can you?
You do that in your country against the down trodden and the southerners calling them names and belittling them at every opportunity you get.
Now is the payback time for you guys…what goes comes back to you! Welcome to KARMA-LAND!

None of us here used any vulgarities until you started it. For your info we are mixed races here unlike your imagination that all are ‘Chinky(s). This is where we pour out our ‘grievances, so what is it to you?

Singapore Indians & Malays do not use the word ‘chinky’ you are the ones(FTs) who introduced this to us. Thank you for a ‘ new vocab.

You people don’t like to see others living in harmony do you? Sure,we have our differences amongst us, that does not mean that we ‘hate’ each other. It is only FTs like you who bring your ‘hate-culture’ & ‘inciting’ to this country.

The moment you gain PR status you ‘want this, you want that’, you even WANT HINDI to be included as an OFFICIAL LANGUAGE! How RIDICULOUS & SHAMELESS can you be…asking for a share in the pie when you CONTRIBUTE NOTHING to our country? How great you think of your self to ‘demand’ that your ‘divide & rule stinko language’ deserve to be given an OFFICIAL STATUS? What an attitude!

Learn to respect others if you want to be respected.Respect is earned & not demanded.
Singaporeans have ‘earned their respect through tolerance & trials & tribulations all these years, it is you ‘high & mighty class FTs’ who are inciting hatred amongst people. You have done enough ‘damage’ to your country, please don’t practice you caste-system here.

You are here to loot…oops ..I meant ‘beg’ for a living here so keep you trap shut at all times.
You HAVE TO put up with this if you want OUR MONEY!
There is no such thing as FREE LUNCH underrrstanadddu?
Thank you. Have a nice day…….

  • randomnessinmind:

    @ Robox:

    Don’t make me laugh.

Firstly, you insulted this very country I’m in by saying I’m in Malay Land, when I was born and bred in Singapore.

Secondly, you insulted me as a racist when I am proud that I am NOT ONE. I don’t care if you call me a chink or a pig, but calling me a racist, and many others for that fact proved that you either couldn’t comprehend what I wrote or believe everyone here is Racist.

Fine by me, for I wish to end this silly conversation, it only hurts my eyes and brain more to see more of your racist and uncouth remarks.

  • argh!:

woah.. blooooody woman. come to sg and husband come steal jobs. and still dare to talk down sgreans. waaaaaaa…. sibei ungrate. this type must get HANTAM updownleftrightcentre by people then will learn lesson.

so damnn blind until like that. This type of FT(foreign trash), coming into sg. PLEASE GO HOME AND STOP BOOTLICKING.

  • Matt:

i’m sorry, but looking up Sweta’s personal facebook, rounding up all the villagers to gather the torches?

    this is
    1) cyberstalking
    2) self-righteous vigilantism
    3) reeking of provincialism

aiyoh, her effing comments also piss me off, but this is akin to going to someone’s doorstep to tell her off. there are many other ways to tell her how you feel, but this is an invasion of privacy.

    i draw the line there.

  • Anon:

A friend once recounted to me about a nephew who has moved to Australia.
His nephew who was very hardworking working, overtime and so on, in an office was beaten up by his colleagues because he was sabotaging their working environment and way of life as he was showing them up.

I know this for a fact from my own first hand encounter with some Aussies at a shopping complex. They told me, they had nothing against immigrants so long as they integrate themselves into the local community and do as Romans do, so to speak, and not become a threat to them by casting the locals in a bad light by such things as flashing their wealth and routinely working overtime.

Singaporeans should do the same here – make the FT toe the line. If we don’t their presence here will eventually become our own undoing if they are allowed to sabotage our ricebowl and lifestyle. We can be fairminded but must not hesitate to return the compliments of FTs’ bad behaviour.

  • Ming Yeow:

guys, please do not be so naive. if you want singapore to compete with the best, singaporEANS need to compete with the best. please do not give in to senseless talk.

  • Fairplayplease:

    @Ming Yeow on Wed, 26th Aug 2009 12:37 pm …greetings….

Singaporeans competing with the “best”. Who is the “best”? I see a lot of caterpillars around. I also see a lot of wheat flour – take your chopstick, stir a mould of flour a bit and what you see? The flour simply disintegrates on your table. Give it a little whiff of a air blown from your mouth, what happened? It just fly off and dirty your kitchen floor!!

YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW, Ming Yeow. And certainly, you must agree with me – knowledge is an expanding circle, the more you discover of new knowledge (making you think you are best?????????) the more you discover you DON’T KNOW ( making you realise you are a caterpillar just crawling out into the world of knowledge).

Leave that assumption of the “best” at home, not this forum please.
