Manohara: I was treated like an animal

To those outside the Kelantan palace, Manohara Odelia Pinot may have looked like she was living the life of a princess.

Yesterday however, the former model revealed that her husband had treated her “like an animal” during their nine-month marriage.

At a press conference in Jakarta, Indonesia, following her dramatic rescue over the weekend, she said: “In Kelantan, they would see me as a princess, but that is wrong.

“I was treated like an animal. I was locked inside a room and if I was allowed to go out, I would be forced to smile. Otherwise, I would get in trouble when I get back.”’

The 17-year-old, accompanied by her mother Daisy Fajarina, appeared calm as she claimed to have photographic evidence of the abuse she had allegedly suffered at the hands of her husband Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, 32.

Manohara claimed that she was a toy to her husband and that he “would play with me whenever he wants”.

“He would get in the room and do whatever he wants to me. I was treated like an object and I had no rights whatsoever. I (was) sexually abused, physically abused and mentally abused. That is all the truth, there are no lies about it and I have photo evidence of it.”

According to news reports, Manohara had accompanied her husband to Singapore on Saturday to visit the Kelantan sultan who is being treated there for a heart ailment.

Manohara had apparently pressed the emergency button while she was in the lift at 3am to get the attention of the hotel management and the police after learning that her mother was in the lobby.

The intervention of US embassy, explained Indonesian foreign ministry spokesperson Teuku Faizasyah to Jakarta Post, was “because Manohara’s biological father is a US national which makes her a US national as well”.

  • Fairytale:

Will be an epic if her story can be made into a movie. Starting from how an innocent girl dreams about marrying a prince, then gets the shock of her life after the marriage. Glamourous on the outside, suffering inside. The secretly got help from family and plan a great escape in Singapore! Singapore is an obvious choice as she is known for great escapes! Film rated R(A) would be approprieate. Definitely need to show what kind of suffering she went through in the bedroom right?

From the looks of it on the surface the evidence seem to be stacked against the Kelantan Royal family, having prevented the mother from seeing her own daughter seems to be intandem with what happens int he middle east when some one non native marries into a rich family in the middle east and it will be the start on non stop problems like police that will side with the middle eastern family and make lifea a hell with the non native.

There are many escape from hell stories written by mainly Caucasian women who have married into the middle east and discover real life as a middle eastern wifey is no joke, and for someone acustomed to the freedom and status accoreded to women in the west it will be to restraining for some one who are accustopmed to the fredom to speak ones own mind and do what one ’s heartr desires at a drop of a hat.

Anyway , when Manohara married she should she has made her own bed , but does she want to lie in it ????

  • Great Escapes of the Tiny Red Dot:

Wah! Singapore has really a good reputation of Great Escapes!

Some years back, there was the Mysterious Escape of Peh Yew Kok, the Labour Chief of SILO and a cadre of the PAP, who was alleged to have been corrupt or under investigation for corruption. Until today, his whereabout is still unknown.

Not long ago, there was the “Escape From Paradise”.

Followed by the Sneaky Escape of Richard Yong, the ex-Chairman of NKF, and his wife to Hongkong, after being charged, convicted and made bankrupt, under broad daylight through the Singapore Customs at the Causeway.

Then followed by the World-Famous Great Limping Escape of Mas Selamat Akan Datang Kastari from the high security detention centre of ISD.

Then followed by the Great Easy Escape of Ng Ting Hwa, who escaped by getting a duplicate passport from ICA, when he was under investigation for pocketing about $2 million from his rim Molnlycke Healthcare Asia-Pacific, a Swedish products provider.

Now, the Great Juicy Escape of the Princess of Kelantan from the grip of the alleged “cruel and abusive” husband from a Hotel!

Wow, looks like Singapore has made another Guinness Record again! Good for Singapore and PAP!

  • Great Escapes of the Tiny Red Dot:

I forgot, there was also the Great Escape of Took Leng How, the accused of the Huang Na’s murder case.

  • Great Escapes of the Tiny Red Dot:

And I also forgot, there was also the Francis Seow’s Great Escape From the Grip of the PAP and ISD, is it not?

Please don’t jump to conclusion to believe this story of fully. Check on the initial story why this things is happening. For what I know from the past news from Indonesia – the mother is the reason why this thing got blown up. She is let her daughter to marry the Prince at the age of 16 and hoping that she could cash in for her own benefit. Since her over demanding of wealth were not given to her – she start to create trouble and accusing the Prince being unkind to her and her daughter. She has been manuplating all the medias in Indonesia to support her and make all the accusation. The mother has crime record in France and she is still a fugitive of the France and she is a loose woman and I am suprise the mother can turn the table and become innocent now by wearing the muslim cover attire clothing. Manohara has a bad abusive life and were seperated from the father. An abusive child can mirror past incidents and make it reality in form of lies. She is a good actor and so as her mother. Now the news are really a sensation in Indonesia and every indonesians are beliving her blindly and what matter most now is SHOW ALL THE PROOF UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. So far there is no proof except from her words and her mother words. I think the mother is trying to cash in more thru the media by trying to make her daughter popular with sympathy.

yup kobikobe you are totally right. i find it so weird they are not going to get a proper medical exam, lodge a proper report, instead doing interview after interview and modelling. tell me, do abused women behave like this? no. they become reclusive from the outside world.

she is so spoilt and materialistic.. she used to carry a birkin as a school bag. in one jakarta magazine she says how her favourite brands.. and she is sixteen in this interview… audemars piguet, hermes, christian louboutin… while the entire indonesia is rotting in poverty, i can’t understand why they love her. perhaps she echoes the shallowness they aspire.

i cannot stand all her photos, it’s of her posing with whatever expensive crap. tacky.

mano and her mother should walk the talk and get that legal case going. or i’m inclined to believe it’s BS.
