Drowning in the Nonsense age of AWARE, Swine flu etc – How do we cope with living in the age of nonsense?
Written by Darkness of the Brotherhood / It’s a simple question: how do you cope in the age of nonsense? How does one actually rise above the contrived reality of what’s going on around us to even begin to make sense of our age? - Einstein, once said, his greatest fear wasn’t a nuclear war, but it’s the end point when technology superseeds humanity – that according to him would spawn the age of nonsense.
What’s the solution? How do we get on top of this problem?
Question: how often do you flush the recycle bin in your head? – its something to consider seriously against the backdrop of what’s happening in AWARE, Swine flu and the meteorite that barrelling towards earth somewhere in outer space – yes, you get my drift – these days, a man can hold on to 10, 20 or 30 opinions all in one swipe and not even have one opinion to call his own - you could even say that’s a pithy summary of our times - these days, we are just inuadated with nonsense, up to our neck with it.
That’s one of the things that I struggle with constantly – garbarge disposal; I need to remind myself constantly; my room like my head is not a place where clothes go and die; my own nonsense must be recognized as nonsense – it may have served me well once upon a time; but with chastening passage of time it has become nonsense and it doesn’t pay to hold on to broken logic – it’s no good, it just doesn’t come around.
Once I am prepared to see it as nonsense – my mind’s eye throws it out in a flash – I don’t even feel the need to defend what I once said or wrote so passionately. That’s not necessary. There’s no need to even re-invest my reputation into the path of reinforcing nonsense. I can forget about it and move on with the rest of my life, the power of nonsense has no dominion over the rest of my life; I am free to set a new course and change direction even to journey away from nonsense towards the truth – it can never come back to bite me.
This applies to most things in life; broken relationships, unfulfilled dreams and even the whole idea of leading a purposeful life – recognizing and throwing nonsense is necessary – that’s why I feel very sorry for people who regularly go around perpetuating the myth of the cult of infallibility – that has to rank as one of highest forms of nonsense on this planet, especially when you put it besides the mega losses that we have incurred lately as a nation – it beggars the imagination.
As I said, nonsense is nonsense; it’s like shit; it doesn’t pay to step on something brown; wipe it all over your face and say. “it feels like shit.” Take a bite of it, “it even taste like shit.” Only to comfort oneself by proclaiming to the whole world – “luckily, I didn’t step on it!”
That’s what happens when one tries to fashion reality by using the cult of infallibility, simplification or any other crowbar that attempts to render the complicated simple – the art of nonsense is elevated to a veritable science.
No, once you surround yourself with nonsense; it dictates every though and action; you’re in the gyre; you’re not going anywhere; it’s a merry-go-round; its not how well you play the game; it’s how well the nonsense game plays you; you can never win in life when you invest so much of your being in nonsense – worst still, you may just have to bite the bullet and invest more of yourself into it, like a gambler who puts his last chips on a number to try to get back what he once lost; and that’s sad; its sad because it’s unnecessary and self inflicted; and the worst is yet to come; because that is what happens when you put your hopes in nonsense; doesn’t matter whether it’s a relationship, business venture or just simply signing on to something that you should have taken more time about – eventually when nonsense permeates your being; no one is going to believe you; you’re going to be like a piece of camphor giving yourself up constantly to the atmosphere; it may take years; but it’s a slow rot that guaranteed to be a sad enterprise – one where you will get smaller and smaller, till one day you just give yourself up the chastening winds of history – to be forgotten forever like a piece of dried up shit.
No, like I said, nonsense has to be seen as nonsense; it matters little whether you happen to be policeman or someone who going places; if you don’t know this, you just have lived and you better laminate this and carry it around in your wallet – it may not be page turner; but I assure you; if used wisely, its certainly a life changer.

I agree we already live in the age of nonsense. But what’s even more disturbing is how the BP con’t to insist this whole aware issue is a non event. For one it has derogated the leadership on this subject to the lunatic fringe such as Yawning bread et al. The BP remains stoic, it doesnt want to take sides blah, blah, blah.
Let me just say, its disappointing to see Darkness taking such a relaxed and bochap attitude about this whole matter.
Disappointed and very disturbed
It’s very clear to me and others. Darkness has decided to brush this whole AWARE issue to the back burner. For one he continues to insist it’s a “cat fight.” He even refuses to register the prejorative bent of this label. Neither can he even consider it anything other than an infantile squabble between petulant spoil brats. His attitude has to be disturbing. And I wonder whether it is reflective of the others who make up the ranks of the brotherhood. As when you ask him what should rightfully be done. His attitude is “let them eat each other up like rats and at the end of it, I hope AWARE will be turned into another heart land foot massage center.”
In other words, he is terminally disinterested. Very sad again.
I for one am with Darkness.
Before the takeover, how influential was AWARE anyway?
It seems that most outrage generated by this event is with regards to who the new Ex-Co are and not what AWARE represents.
How many people will continue this fervour once saturday passes?
If the Old Guard wins : Call me a cynic but i do not see those expressing outrage continue their support as their support was almost non-existent in the first place before this event. It is largely and by far a reactive response.
If the New Guard wins : Large sign-ups are in response to the direction of the outrage. By a polarising of the issue to a Christian church vs the rest of the world one, it has only served to galvanise those who see the issue as plainly as that. Without this pressure, will the interest in AWARE sustain itself? I highly doubt it.
In the end, all that results in is a tarnished reputation for AWARE irregardless of who wins.
Darkness of the brotherhood is no fool. Bear in mind, he has waged nearly 600 battles in the virtual. He has not even lost a single one. At times, he was even outnumbered 300 to 1. So he has a remarkable sense of the terrain and probably knows what will come out of all this. Nothing.
A big fat nothing. That means, he must have calculated on a napkin, no clear winner can ever emerge from all this. Even if one side wins, they would have already undone the very basis of their legitimacy. The democratic process. Not only that, they won by sheer force of numbers and why is this bad? Bc it means, they have turned democracy on its head by using the statistical majority to facilitate a form of tyranny. They would have also started what darkness terms a “arms race.” We are beginning to see this arms race now as this whole matter sucks up different religious groups and even fringes who once had nothing to do with AWARE.
As I see it the only numbskulls who is going around rallying troops in facebook is that gay kinpin YB. He is so stupid, he doesnt even know if he wins all he would have inherited is the burning city of Stalingrad.
I dont disagree, they seem to be pulling back. The question is what do they see that we have all failed to see?
That is the $64 million question.
This issue has gone beyond aware. Its so big now it has become a clash of cultures. The real issues are now side dishes. Darkness has good reason to fear. As it is now so encrusted in nonsense. People can no longer be counted to remain level headed and rational. The only to solve this impasse may be to press the reset button and dissolve aware and to start the whole game again.
He felt this same way after the general elections in Malaysia. Many of them were sent there to study how the internet was turned into a wonder weapon. For months they infiltrated Malaysian sites gathering information and slowly piecing up the picture. When the ASDF came out with the final report, the father of game read it and destroyed it.
He had come face to the face with the devil of the internet.
I am not LGPT. I am heterosexual.. But I can handle friendship with another LGPT, and appreciate him/her as another equal person like me, and look at his attributes, his abilities, his everything, more so his inner self, his soul, spirit, mind, and judge him on that basis. ( him=her ).
I am able to take his physical outlook separate, just like I will not allow myself to be biased and distracted by his attire and his physical handicap. I will assess my friendship with him based on his non-sexual related character and other more earthly factors. If I can do this, why can’t you ?

Why is gay marriage looked down upon?
Before I start, I would just like to say that I’m not gay, lesbian, or bisexual. I’m a Roman Catholic (my religion tends to not like gay activity). I just feel really strongly that gay marriages are being turned down by many. I really think that there is nothing wrong with gays or lesbians marrying each other. Yet, others don’t think it’s right. Why do people feel so strongly about same sex couples? What’s wrong with it?
I agree…
I am for gay marriages, though I am heterosexual. I have friends and family who are bisexual and homosxual, and I don’t like the idea that when they find the person they want to spend the rest of their life with, that it is going to be illegal for them to get married just because of their sexuality. People who argue that the bible doesn’t approve of gay marriage, or homosexuality in general, do you even see what you are saying? The bible also is pro-slavery, do you want to side with God on that one too? The bible also said that God created Adam and Eve…Their kids had to reproduce somehow! And didn’t we also make incestry illegal? So what we are saying by using the bible as an excuse to ban gay marriages is that we only use God’s views on things when it is in our favor, is that right? So in reality some things in the bible should be taken into perspective, yes, but there are also things that should be overlooked. Things that are not morally correct. Christians believe that everything happens for a reason, that God has everyone’s lives set for them and their destinies already mapped out. So if God was against gay people…why are there any? God set their destinies that way, he made them different from certain other people for a REASON. Anyways, I don’t see why it should matter to everyone who IS against it. It’s not like we would be changing the law to say that everyone must marry same sexes now, we are just allowing those who love the same sex to take action in their relationships! To say it isn’t right to let them marry is to say that we use the bible as a form of right and wrong only when convienient to things that we don’t agree with based on our personal reflections on the situation. We are only using a religious foundation for liability to say that our opinions are correct, that we are right and they are wrong. Why should we force our opinions on those who don’t share the same opinions?? It isn’t right. By allowing same sex marriages, we aren’t saying that you have to be gay now, we are allowing freedom and justice and respect to those who ARE gay and want to be a legal couple. Why can’t you just let people live their lives the way they want to?? What if the homosexual community was the dominant group in society instead of the heterosexual community, and the law was the other way around, the law said that a man and woman was not allowed to marry, how would those of you against gay marriage feel? To be banned from marrying the one you love just because they are of the opposite sex???? How degrading would that be to you? How much would it hurt to be forced into keeping your relationship with your bf/gf completely just bf/gf, not having the chance to be a legal couple? think about the feeling you would have being banned from something like that. now why are you making gay people feel that way? why are you keeping them from living the way they want? it won’t hurt you. they just want the same respect and freedom as everyone else! Have a heart, and let them express theirs, that’s my opinion.
