How to win in Aware? Forget Sun Tzu, just order one Masala Dosai!

Written by Darkness of the brotherhood / You know what? I’ve just about had my fill with the never ending story of aware – yes, its reached that end point, when I’ve just have to call it a day – for one its getting too serious and when anything reaches that boil point usually I just laugh out loud – no, I am not been flippant or even disrespectful, its just my way of coping, conquering, and carrying on with the great journey called life – I never ever take anything too seriously – I am sorry, that’s just the way, I am hard wired.

For one I believe most problems in life are caused by people who pitch their beliefs too forcefully – that’s to say, they’ve invested too much of themselves into their causes and once that happens – it’s never how they play the game as much as how the game plays them - matters little whether its relationships, work, investments, hobbies or even how you wish to come across to others - my point is simply this, it doesn’t pay to put all your chips on one number; makes far more sense to spread it around and through the years; I’ve discovered there’s one thing that is truly indispensable when it comes to managing yourself and others - humor.

Humor not only cuts the pain in half - it also allows us an opportunity to step outside our ego and see the world as it is, rather than what we think it should be; you could even say, its one of the most reliable ways of keeping things in the proper scale and perspective – as that’s really what makes us all human – it connects us back to who we really are and to the people who we want to go places with.

Did I tell you all once, there was a time, when I was stranded in the upper reaches of the Cartenz Pyramids freezing my guli’s off - there were four of us and we were huddling beneath an overhang as a cold front had suddenly moved in from nowhere - it was relentless and so cold that my legs even felt like stumps; soon most of us just fell sullen and very quiet - then it started with a few sarcastic mutterings when someone couldn’t get the fire stove to light up; a joke soon played up and next thing we knew everyone was laughing their heads off and it just rolled on and on through the night – between me and you that was what really saved those boys – as there is nothing deadlier than nodding off when it gets real cold – I didn’t tell the boys that, but you get the drift – humor when used in the right time and place – can even save your chops and make a whole world of difference.

Yes, a sense of humor is key for survival.

That’s one reason why really intelligent animals such as monkeys, elephants and dolphins seem so playful; they realize the wisdom of humor – I suspect it could well be the number one survival skill that keeps life sweet.

So I think this is where, we will just have to say the road runs out and I don’t think, we will write anything further on aware anymore. My gut feel tells me, it time to just leave it to those cats to slug it out – for better or worse, it has to be their business – as it’s pretty tough to sort things out when there are so many spot lights, cameras and microphones focussed on what said and done - it has to be a pressure cooker and I can’t see anyone making headway with all that noise – my gut feel tells me, this may be the time to let things happen; rather than to try to make things happen.

Before we close the chapter on aware, do check out this short clip and remember always.

A good laugh is not only the result of humour, it is often also the cause.

Keep it light and tight! And remember, you’re really only as serious as how much you’re prepared to laugh at yourself.

Enjoy

The vid is good satire of what’s actually happening in AWARE :) Darkness should not only treat the ladies of the Siglap read club well. He should also consider taking us for jumbo seafood in east coast from time to time. It is good for relations…yes?

Its a matter of ego. Most insecure people if you notice have no sense of humor. If you say something that ticks them off, they will either sue you or drive you out of the country by trumping up fake charges. Or try to ruin your reputation, career etc.

They take themselves too seriously and most of the time, they even confuse it with self esteem. But its the opposite, that really what it means to be conceited and petty.

    Bambi Darkness,

If you show preferential treatment to one read club. U will die. Never ever underestimate the wrath of a woman. Never.

There should be one rule for all. And everyone should be treated fairly.
